Weekly focus Question “What if the bible was never written?”

Well without the bible Christianty from my point of view would be exactly the same as it is today. The Bible was written over a period of 1400 to 1800 years therefore the message of our lord spread not by text but by oral. And without the bible all Christians around the world would still have the same knowledge about God, this would be possible through all his disciples, apostles and saints

  1. This is so sad.

Without the Bible there would be no Christianity because there is NO contemporary account of Jesus et al. at ALL for about seven decades after his supposed birth (about three to four decades after his alleged death). VIrtually every aspect of his story can be found in the myths from Egyptian gods to Dionysus and others, so something else may have come around, but it’d definitely not be Christianity.

Use evidence and common sense, people.

  2. BTW I notice another piece of common lie in the famous quotes section on the right, which sought to make Albert Einstein look like a “believer”. Here’s a direct quote from Einstein which you can confirm from oher sources.

“I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it.” (Albert Einstein, 1954)

Goes to show how misinformed and treacherous the faithful are.

  3. I disagree with the fact that it would be exactly the same because over a long period of time the message from one person to another will be changed and in the end the message will be completely different just like chinese whispers or there will be no message as it will not be spread by everyone.

  4. Well done harb, that’s a decent answer. However I won’t say life and times would be exactly the same if the bible were never written. In opinion many false rumours and stories would end up joining the actual recount of events that occurred. What do you think?

  5. Nice work James, you make some very good and valid points. However I think you don’t understand that there were people living around those times and up to the present date who still do not believe by hearing. Most people need to see for them to believe. By reading the Bible they can understand the great miracles that Jesus performed. There are many other reasons as well. Keep up the good work.
